Course summary
Learning Teams are a worker-focused engagement approach to problem identification and resolution, exploring and learning from normal work and operational innovation to support continuous improvement of operational excellence. The 2 day facilitation concentrates on the theory then practical hands-on training. The optional third day priovides an opportunity to review your organisation’s existing investigation processes as this helps to develop clear ways to integrate the HOP approach.
Course details
An optional eLearning module covers the basic concepts and structure of Operational Learning Teams (OLT) prepares the delegates for the classroom sessions enabling deeper undersatanding from the start.
This classroom workshops develop the delegates to a high level of organisational maturity to a facilitating a Learning Team event.

Learning Outcomes
- Facilitate Learning Team events with small groups of workers.
- How facilitate conversations between those that do the work and those who design the work.
- Learn from 'normal work' by sharing workplace intelligence and to facilitate the co-designing of improvements in workplace systems and processes.
- Understand how to improve the overall operational learning, from resolving persistent problems, to capturing the learnings from unexpected successes.
- Ensure that everyone involved in the group is included in the learning conversation.
- Produce a comprehensive report detailing the learning extraced during the session and how this can be used within the organisation to improve operational performance.
- More introspective thinking when things go wrong, rather than looking for someone to blame.
